Managing Celebrity Security in India

India is the worlds second most populated country in the world, second to China, which has two and a half times the land area in comparison to India. Having such soaring populations and mostly relying on agriculture to survive.

The country is bound to have high migration to cities.  The increases the load and the crime rate in cities. Any celebrity, whether of Bollywood or any other form of media, that travels around to meet crowds will regularly get affected by the huge crowds that are representative of the rural and urban India as a whole.

What are the basic precautions and training techniques we imbibe in our team to ensure perfect security services for the celebrity:-

  1.  Proper Dress Code
The first and foremost is having the best dressed, disciplined security officers that can provide the utmost service 24 hours everyday. These security officers have been told to keep every information private and controlled from the outside world. Privacy and Secrecy of knowledge is taken as the primary goal of ensuring implicit security.

    2. Management

The celebrity travels with many cars around the main car. Every Bodyguard and Private Officer is divided for effective security to the celebrity and the concerning staff. The most important part after allocation of duties is taking steps to understand the administration and managers of the celebrity to get a clear idea of any threats or crowd trouble to prepare for

   3. Schedule of the program

Before the celebrity starts his journey, the plan for the whole trip is already in place. We take care to discuss and highlight the areas in which we require additional care and security supervision.
Every moment is pre planned and therefore the requirement to cater to the program becomes extremely important.

  4. Getting to know the team

The team that has planned and organised everything before the celebrity comes to India are the ones that can provide insights that can help for us to plan better and tighter security.
There is always a team that works for the celebrity, organising, booking, arranging - interaction with this team is very important from security perspective.

 5. Walking, Running, Standing throughout the celebrity visit.

The personal security officers are trained to manage and be available for service throughout the tenure of the celebrity visit in and around India. The team is always on its toes and present for any requirement. There are cases where the celebrity is moving on a horse, manual rickshaw, the security will pace for whatever distance the celebrity takes that ride. The door opening, the seating, the crowd handling, media management. The security team stands and waits for the celebrity to finish his meal before it takes a break for their own meal.
